John B. Askew, regional administrator for the EPA; St. Louis County Executive Charlie A. Dooley; and Denny Coleman, president and CEO of the St. Louis County Economic Council (SLCEC), recently announced that the EPA has authorized the SLEC to loan up to $500,000 for remediation projects at brownfields, which are properties that must be cleaned before reinvestment can take place.
