Realizing the obvious – that her chances of winning are nil – state Senator Maida Coleman did the smart thing by deciding not to become a candidate for state auditor. The EYE thinks that Coleman’s future is bright on the local political scene and hopes she looks at the possibility of running for one of the citywide offices when her term is up in 2008.
