Person – who served on the staff of Mayor Freeman Bosley Jr. in his previous Democratic phase – was working the fax machine last week on behalf of 3rd Ward Alderman Freeman Bosley Sr., publicizing that Citizens Against the Recall had filed voter fraud complaints (with Catherine Hannaway, Jennifer Joyce and the city election board) against the folks trying to recall Bosley Sr. Janice Jernigan is running point on the effort against the recall. “As an example of the effort to cheat the system we have the case of Mrs. Emma Rutherfords whose name was on the forged petition,” Jernigan said in a statement. “Mrs. Rutherford was actually in Mississippi on the day her name was shown on the petition and has a bus ticket to prove where she was that day.”
Person is no doubt taking care of his boys in the Bosley family, but his Republican friends and clients must appreciate any stirring up of anything smelling like “voter fraud,” what with the villainous Voter ID Bill being challenged in the courts with just more than two months to go before showtime.
Person is really talking smack, by the way, about Debra Gordon, Jeffrey Hardin, Maxine Johnson and others working to recall Bosley Sr. Smack? Or was it crack?
