We all know the pathetic flip Joe Lieberman took into hawkish independence when he was beat in the Connecticut primary. But how about Cynthia McKinney (D-Ga.) after getting whipped by former DeKalb County Supervisor Hank Johnson on Aug. 8?
The NNPA reports her as saying: “I want to declare tonight that I stand with the families of our hurt soldiers and the hundreds of thousands of innocent hurt and dead Iraqis. My new friends are the mothers who have lost their sons in George Bush’s war.”
Whatever happened to, “I would like to congratulate my opponent” and then getting the heck out of the way?
