It was true, as stated here last week, that Brian Wahby was rumored to be a Shrewsbury man. The rumors, however, proved to be untrue. Soon after the EYE item appeared last week, in his position as committeeman of the 7th Ward Wahby endorsed Lewis Reed for president of the Board of Aldermen. A local political blog gloated that the EYE had this one wrong, when in fact the EYE may have helped to tip Wahby’s hand or knocked him off the fence. Endorsements for Reed from 17th Ward Alderman Joe Roddy and former Missouri Democratic Party Chairwoman Mae Scheve also rolled in last week.
