Amnesty International’s most recent report on official statistics for executions places the U.S. as sixth on the list with 52 state-sponsored snuff jobs in 2006. The “leader of the free world” places behind such free and fair states as China (1,010 with a bullet), Iran (177), Pakistan (82), Iraq (65) and Sudan (65). We’re right up there with two-thirds of the “Axis of Evil.” Let’s party!
