A video of St. Louis Alderwoman Sharon Tyus saying she would “put a bullet” in Alderman Rasheen Aldridge’s head went viral after a Monday meeting about the Homer G. Phillips Senior Apartments.
Tyus made the remark while explaining why she would not work with Aldridge, who had offered to advance legislation involving the city-owned building in Tyus’ ward. Tyus said she was repeating a wartime analogy and never threatened him.
Aldridge said he took the remark as a threat. Police are investigating. Tyus has refused to apologize.
