I declare Barack Obama the 2008 Father of the Year. He has given overwhelming inspiration, courage, pride and strength to America, especially African Americans, and Africans in the motherland and the world. His fatherly people skills and strength endear him to the American people and the world. Obama’s guts, wisdom and strength are appreciated
As a fearless, sound and openminded father, he has defied the culture of fear and underachievement and has risen with high hopes. No wonder the world stirred into joy on realizing he had secured the Democratic nomination for president. This joy reveals that something tangible was missing in this great country. It shows that change is coming to America.
