First, I would like to thank and commend you for doing such a wonderful job in keeping our people informed. In your Nov. 20-26 issue (“This Week in Black History”), you noted that Elijah Muhammad founded the Nation of Islam on November 22, 1930 in Detroit. The NOI’s origin did take place in Detroit, MI (Black Bottom, to be exact); however, it’s founder is W. Fard Muhammad and this took place on July 4, 1930.
