I read in the January 14, Post-Dispatch newspaper, SLPS Superintendent Kelvin Adams was requesting among other things a 100 percent graduation rate to keep Sumner High School open. The Clayton School District has the highest graduation rate in the St. Louis metropolitan area and their rate is 96.5 percent graduation.

My question for Mr. Adams is: What does a student do with an unaccredited high school diploma? That diploma is as valuable as a piece of toilet paper. I know what you do with a piece of toilet paper, but what does a student do with a diploma from an unaccredited St. Louis Public School District?
