There is a void in AABCA, MOKAN, the African-American community, the construction industry and the St. Louis community as a whole with the passing of Dan Eddington of Dan Eddington Flooring, Inc. Dan was one of the unsung heroes in the fight for economic equality for African-American contractors. Dan never wavered and was always there to help and support the cause anyway he could. I doubt there was ever a battle that came Dan’s way that he was afraid to fight and participate in. Dan Eddington was one of the last of a dying breed, which is a brave and courageous black man with a strong backbone. He will certainly be missed by all of us in the movement. May he rest in peace.
