The Republicans are trying (for the second consecutive year) to raise the premiums for TRICARE medical coverage for military retirees. Please go to the ausa.org or military.com websites for more information. The same people who say, “Support the troops!” to gain support for Bush’s failed war are the same ones who betray the troops with paltry pay raises and reduced benefits.
I understand that medical care for military retirees is expensive. I also understand that tax cuts for billion-dollar corporations are expensive. But then again, unnecessary invasions of foreign countries are also expensive, are they not? Yes, they are, especially with all those no-bid contracts.
