Kudos to the St. Louis American for recognizing the contributions of women in Missouri politics. Nearly 75 percent of the women candidates for federal, state and legislative offices won their elections last Tuesday, and without a doubt, many of them were underestimated by their opponents. We couldn’t agree more with your call for men to embrace their women colleagues as powerful and strategic allies. Women comprise over 50 percent of the population, as well as voters, and their contributions are vital to a truly “representative” government. The country needs our best leaders, regardless of their anatomy.
