He is at the hem

Matthew 9:21 For she said within herself, I f I may but touch the hem of his garment I shall be whole.

I spent many years battling several illnesses I thought would eventually overtake me. During this time I prayed, sought prayer, fasted, and kept a journal. I spent time fellowshipping with other believers who were more knowledgeable of the prophecies of God hoping for divine inspiration and imparted healing.

I was before God so much that I was sure He was tired of hearing the same prayer that He had already made provision for. I just didn’t know it.

As I began reading the word of God with clearer understanding it became evident to me that the word of God was the provision. As I began applying God’s word to my life, it became a source of healing. 

I had spent a great deal of time worrying for nothing; the answer was always with me.

We spend a great deal of time worrying about things that God has already given an answer to. He has already offered a way that leads to healing, that way is faith.

This is true even in the prophecy of the hem. The hem is about incredible faith despite obstacles. It is the faith to believe that He is able to do exceedingly, abundantly, above all that we may ask, and heal us. And He keeps his word.

Most of you know the story of the woman who pushed past the throngs of people to just touch the hem of Jesus’ garment as He passed through the town. She had faith to believe that He was able to heal her. And without touching Him, but the hem, she was healed.

The hem is representative of faith. The reason the hem is so important is because it is symbolic of what took place for people who were just in the presence of Jesus. It was their faith that made them whole.

We have to be diligent in seeking God until he removes and resolves all that ails us and restores us to the beings He has purposed for us. 

Be patient as you wait for your healing to take place and remember that it can be a long wait sometimes but it is not in vain, for He will surely come.
