“For the Word that God speaks is alive and full of power (making it active, operative, energizing and effective); it is sharper than any two-edged sword, penetrating the dividing line of the breath of life (soul) and the immortal spirit and of joints and marrow [of the deepest parts of our nature], exposing and sifting and analyzing and judging the very thoughts and purposes of the heart.” Heb. 4:12
For years I had little or no knowledge of the power of God’s word. I had never been taught that words are seeds planted into the soil of the universe. Even though I have spent most of my life in church, there was a void that existed limiting my ability to experience success at a level that would have been beyond what I ever thought possible.
After years of studying and exploring the Bible and learning how to live by the Word of God, the light of the word begin to take meaning and purpose in my life. I discovered that all of God’s promises are yes and (Amen) which means, so be it.
I went to college with no money. I began to decree and declare what I wanted during those four years and everything that I spoke and believed God that it would happen came to pass. Even though I had come from a very impoverished family with very little to no help coming from my parents, I had everything that I needed, wanted and desired. I discovered that when God’s Word says, you can have what you say, He meant just that.
The Bible lets us know that “God’s word is a lamp to our feet and a light to our path.” In the natural, it is hard to believe that you can exercise faith in God without any unbelief in our heart and know without a doubt that the desires of your heart will be granted. This is why God tells us to walk in the Spirit and submit ourselves to be led by the Spirit of God. What seems to be impossible in the natural has already been given and exists in the Spirit or supernatural realm.
Regardless of what may be happening in the world today, God is still in control. You might be asking if God is in control why so much negativity? Well, it is because the Body of Christ does not know who they are. The word of God has given us the authority to change circumstances and situations that are unproductive or negative. You must understand and walk in the authority given to you.
Mathew 16:19 says, “I will give you the keys of the kingdom of heaven: and whatever you bind (declare to be improper and unlawful) on earth must be what is already bound in heaven; and whatever you loose (declare lawful) on earth must be what is loosed in heaven.”
God has shared his power, authority and glory with his children but they do not know it. His DNA is living in you. You are an overcomer, more than a conqueror, a royal priesthood, a people of God’s own choosing because the Greater One, the I AM THAT I AM LIVES IN YOU. His word in your mouth seasoned with faith is a powerful force for victory!
