Leadership Conference comes to St. Louis January 21-24
One of the nation’s largest denominations is set to connect and fellowship in the St. Louis area as Bishop R. J. Ward and the Missouri Eastern First Jurisdiction of the Church Of God In Christ announce and host the 2008 Leadership Conference for the Churches Of God In Christ, January 21-24, 2008 at the Grand Renaissance Hotel of downtown St. Louis.
Conference preparation activities and services kicked off before the end of 2007 for what is certain to be a week of fellowship and ministry growth.
The Life Center International Church radio program, which airs every Sunday morning at 10:00 a.m. – 10:30 a.m. on KATZ Hallelujah 1600AM (and streams live on www.gospel1600.com) is planning to keep listeners informed of details and logistics surrounding the Conference. Bishop Charles Edward Blake is Presiding Bishop of COGIC, which includes more than six million members.
He is the pastor of West Angeles Church of God in Christ, which has a membership of more than 24,000 with more than 80 programs for the psychological, social, and economic enhancement of the community.
As founder and CEO of Save Africa’s Children, Bishop Blake oversees the support of more than 100,000 children in 340 orphan care programs, throughout more than 23 nations on the continent of Africa.
On Sunday, January 20, The Life Center International radio program will receive the honor of once again hosting the Presiding Bishop of the Church Of God In Christ, Bishop Charles Edward Blake. On this program Bishop Blake will give the official welcome to the St. Louis area to attend the conference. Along with the Presiding Bishop will be the area hosts and jurisdictional bishops of this area: Bishop R. J. Ward (Missouri Eastern First and Conference Host), Bishop L. M. Wooten (Missouri Eastern Second, Western Illinois) and Bishop William Scott (Illinois Southeast).
The installation service for the newly elected Presiding Bishop Blake, will be on Wednesday, January 23, 2008 at 7:00 p.m. at Kennerly Temple Church Of God In Christ, 4307 Kennerly Ave. Please arrive early to get a seat.
