Pastor Christopher D. Collier founded New Life Empowerment Center in September 2011. Pastor Collier devotes himself to making a positive and spiritual difference in the lives of families within the community and help build confident, and caring Christians within the body of Christ.
It is also his mission to foster the growth of the kingdom of God within the St. Louis community through ministry outreach, one-on-one evangelism, and committed discipleship.
Collier was born on February 5, 1974 to the parents of William and Shirley Collier. He was born and raised in St. Louis, MO. Collier attended Bethesda Temple Church of the Apostolic Faith Inc., where the pastor is Bishop James A. Johnson. Collier was baptized at the age of 6 and received the Holy Ghost at the age of 7. From then on, Elder Collier was very active in the church; he was an usher, organ player, saxophone player, and choir director. He was also very active in his state council, Midwestern District Council.
After graduating from High School, Elder Collier moved to Kansas City, MO, where he attended the University Missouri-Kansas City Conservatory. During his stay in Kansas City he attended Christ Temple Church, Now called Victorious Life Church, where the pastor is Bishop Mark C. Tolbert.
In 1992, God called Elder Collier into the ministry, ever since that day, God has been doing a quick work in his life. In 1996, Elder Collier obtained favor from the Lord by marrying Sis. Le’Rhonda (Mimms) Collier. They now share the joy of their two daughters Jazzmine Sy’less and Alyssa Christine Collier. Elder Collier accepted his calling to being the founder and Senior Pastor of New Life Empowerment Center in St. Louis after his Father in the Gospel Bishop Mark C. Tolbert, Thursday, April 2, 2011, laid hands on him and gave his blessing. Pastor Collier then moved back to St. Louis, MO and launched the first service on September 11, 2011 at New Life Empowerment Center.
New Life Empowerment Center is a spirit-filled and innovative church focused on bringing Christians of varying ethnic groups, ages and backgrounds together in unity. They began with 32 covenant members in September 2011 and have grown to over 200 covenant members in less than one year.
