“And Jesus rebuked the demon, and it came out of him, and the boy was cured instantly. Then the disciples came to Jesus and asked privately, why could we not drive it out? He said to them, Because of the littleness of your faith. For truly I say to you, if you have faith like a grain of mustard seed, you can say to this mountain , ‘Move from here to yonder place,’ and it will move: and nothing will be impossible to you. But this kind does not go out except by prayer and fasting.” Matt. 17:218-21 (AMP)

Are you in a state of nothingness? Does it seem that you are going nowhere fast?

Well, first of all, you must understand that this is not God’s plan for your life.

His promises do not change. What you are experiencing is the work of negative demonic encounter that has come to steal, kill and destroy your life and make you believe that your Heavenly Father is the culprit.

When everything seems to be falling apart and nothing seems to be coming out, it is time to take further action – to shift gears

If your prayers are not changing the circumstances around you, it means that a stronghold has been built up around your life.

The negative forces that operate in the universe want you to point the blame at God. When this happens, you are now operating in your own strength if you stop praying and placing all of your trust in the Lord’s power. Therefore, his power is no longer available to you.

It is now necessary for you to seek counsel from the Holy Spirit in order to understand how to walk in victory.

Fasting gives the believer the ability to release more of God’s power out into the universe; prepares those who are diligent to receive a new and deeper anointing into their lives to achieve the things that they desire to see manifested and positions you to become more sensitive to the will and plan of God.

This is an area that most people overlook or they give up – allowing their flesh to get in the way.

When fasting is done for the right reason which is to develop a more intimate relationship with God; you will be taken into a deeper level of power, confidence and authority.

The fast must have a special reason and purpose for your life. It can never be about letting others know that you are fasting. If it is done for the wrong reason, God will not honor it. This process will develop a powerful relationship between you and God.

Prayer and fasting will serve many needs in your life. Fasting is a cleansing process that will begin to remove the toxins from your body. This process will allow you to live a healthier lifestyle. You must include plenty of water and other liquids in your fast.

When you fast in secret, God will reward you openly. Whatever He promises, He will always supply. If you are at a standstill in your life, seek counsel from God by His Spirit and make fasting a priority for removing negative obstacles out of your life.

Start slowly, but however you decide, just know that the benefits will outweigh the sacrifices that you will be making.
