” And whenever you stand praying, if you have anything against anyone, forgive him and let it drop (leave it, let it go) in order that your Father Who is in heaven may also forgive you your own failings and shortcomings and let them drop. But if you do not forgive, neither will your Father in heaven forgive your failings and shortcomings.” Mark 11:25-26 (Amplified Bible)

Prayer is the most powerful force on earth available to the children of God. The power of God living in us is released when we pray. We touch the heart of God when we intercede or stand in the gap for another person. When the word of God is mixed with the words of the believer nothing will be impossible to that person.

If you really want to see a move of God’s power in your life, make prayers spoken in faith a way of life. Speak only what you desire to see happen in your life. Never allow negative or destructive words to come out of your mouth about yourself or others. Every word that you speak is a seed planted into the universe. Your words must be filled with faith and expectancy understanding that God will hear and answer.

When you are praying and not getting results, there is a need to examine your heart and your words to make sure that they are in line with the word of God. Our God is a prayer hearing and answering God. He has promised that His eyes would be upon us and His ears open to our cry. Therefore, when prayers are not answered, the problems is with us not God. Your Heavenly Father is faithful. He does not change. Whatever He promises He will deliver.

One of the main reasons why prayers are not answered is when the believer walks in unforgiveness. The perfect example for forgiveness was given to us by Jesus. After being lied on, beaten, scorned, and nailed to a cross, He looked down on His accusers and said, “Father forgive them for they know not what they do.” You might be saying they knew exactly what they were doing.Well, is Jesus, Who is the Son of God, right or are you right? Jesus is God. He is all knowing. He knows all about all of us and He does not make any mistakes.

There is a thief that comes into the hearts of men and women to bring destruction into their lives. He uses the spirit of deception to trick individuals into doing things that they would never do under different circumstances. Jesus knew that the crowd that spoke crucify Him was being influenced by a deceptive spirit. This evil spirit is roaming the earth today tormenting individuals and creating negative desires within their hearts. No one is above being effected by this spirit.

Let’s look at some examples of how this spirit operates. When you gossip about another person, it is hurting them and you.. When you wish or speak evil about another person, this deceptive spirit is in operation. When you say, I will forgive but never forget, it is in control of your life. When you listen to false evidence about another person, the spirit of deception is using you to bring destruction into that person’s life.

Your words are powerful. Every times you speak a negative or destructive word about another individual, the enemy is using you to bring defeat into that person’s life and ultimately into your own life. Remember, you reap what you sow. Words are seeds planted into the universe. Everything you speak will eventually come back to hurt you.

Your prayers cannot and will not be answered when you violate the word of God. God said you must forgive or He will not forgive you. Victory in your prayer life depends on three things, there must be unwavering faith, the word of God must be apart of your prayers and there must be forgiveness. If you leave either of these aspects out, you will fall short of the glory of God. Nothing is more important than obeying God and living according to His word. Your choice is simple OBEY AND RECEIVE. DISOBEY AND DO WITHOUT. YOU MUST FORGIVE.
