“If any of you is deficient in wisdom, let him ask of the giving God Who gives to everyone liberally and ungrudgingly, without reproaching or faultfinding, and it will be given him. Only it must be in faith that he asks with no wavering (no hesitating, no doubting). For the one who wavers (hesitates, doubts) is like the billowing surge out at sea that is blown hither and thither and tossed by the wind. For truly, let not such a person imagine that he will receive anything (he asks for) from the Lord.” James 1: 5-7 (Amplified Bible)
God has spoken in His word that He is no respecter of persons. He says that He is a God that cannot lie and that He does not change. His word challenges His children to ask and they shall receive. Again, the word of God lets us know that we can have what we say. Is the Word of God really all that it says it is? Is this word really equally available to all who believe? If all of the above statements are true, then why is there so much failure among the people of God? I am sure that many of you who are my readers have these thoughts going through your minds or the Holy Spirit would not have told me to put them in print.
So many of God’s children are living beneath their God-given privileges and they do not understand how to apply the word to their daily life and get the results that they desire. I understand exactly what is happening in your life because for many years I went through failure and defeat and did not know what to do. I prayed or thought I was praying. I gave and did not see a return on my giving and yet the word promises that it would be given back to me in good measure.
Who or what is the reason for the lack of success and victory that exist in the world today? There are two demon spirits, if you allow them, that will sabotage your life and bring destruction and defeat into every plan and desire of your heart. These two demon are fear and doubt. Wherever there is fear doubt is right there making sure the desires of your heart never become a reality. Unless you understand how these spirits work, you will never reach the level of success that God has planned for your life.
Fear is the master demon spirit. It is this spirit that will keep you in a state of bondage for the rest of your life. It is this spirit that plants negative thoughts in the minds of believes with the expectation that those thoughts will be allowed to linger in the mind until they become a stronghold. When this demon has control over your thought process, you will begin to believe what you think. “As a man thinketh in his heart so is he.” If you think a thing and believe it, you will eventually act upon it or take no action at all.
Fear opens the door for doubt to come in. Can this really happen for me? Will I really get the job? If I start a business, will I really become successful? Can the Word, Who is Jesus really heal me of cancer? I have been living in poverty all my life, can I really live a victorious life? Doubt places questions before you with the hope that you will continue to look at the problem and see no way out of the situation.
Before you can remove the obstacles that are blocking your success, you must recognize them. They will never leave until you replace them with faith. What does that mean? Well, I am glad you asked. Many of you have been hindered by these two spirits and did not even know they were there. Some of you thought your fear and doubt was just concern and caution. Well, what you really experienced was fear and doubt. When you acknowledge that you are not sure and maybe you had better wait on a sign from God, you are operating in fear and doubt.
The word of God in Mark 11:22-23 does not say anything about a sign from God. It says you can have what you say. And when you pray believe that you receive and you will have it. But, if you doubt, nothing that you ask will be manifested.
The word in Romans 4:17b say we are to duplicate God and call those things that be not as though they were. We are to speak what we desire into existence and then take the appropriate action. You are void of the blessing of God because of a lack of understanding. You are missing the mark because of unproductive thinking and believing. If you want to see success manifested in your life, you must believe the word of God. Speak only what you believe and expect God’s Word to work for you. The Word of God spoken out of the mouth of a believer will produce a positive harvest.
Get rid of the complaining. Stop talking about what you don’t have. Refrain from speaking such words as; “I don’t see anyway out, this will never happen for me, I tried it and it didn’t work, they will never let me do that.” These are negative phrases orchestrated to plant fear and doubt in your mind.
It is time for you to get angry with the devil and put him on the run. The word of God is the only source of power that can remove fear and doubt. Faith is the word of God spoken out of your mouth with the expectancy that you will receive what you say.
Start today using the promises of God to respond to every challenge that is facing you. Stop complaining. Stop worrying and begin to call those things that you desire into existence by speaking only what you desire to see manifested in your life. Now the change will not come overnight. You must deprogram yourselves from the negative to the positive; from the worlds way to God’s way. The word of God must become “a lamp to your feet and a light to your path.”
