“While the earth remains, seedtime and harvest, cold and heat, summer and winter and day and night shall not cease.” Gen. 8:22 (Amplified Bible)

Over the next four weeks I will be sharing a series on Harvest Time. I firmly believe that God wants to pour out multiple blessings upon His people during the year 2005. In order to be positioned to receive from God, His children must know, believe and understand that God loves them and wants to fulfill their needs and give them the desires of their hearts.

The word harvest often reminds us of farming. After the farmer has sown his seed for a particular crop he expects to reap a harvest or receive an abundance from the seeds sown into the ground.

Well, the same process works in the life of those who trust God and believe that His word is truth and it will be manifested in their lives. Our, thoughts, words, gift of tithes and offerings and other acts of kindness are all seeds sown into the lives of others.

Each one of those seeds will produce after their kind. So, if you want love, you will need to sow love. One cannot live with an attitude of anger and hate and expect to receive back love, compassion and understanding. It just cannot happen. The Bible lets us know that we reap what we sow.

It is important that we watch what we say and take the time daily to keep a guard over our mouth because every word that comes forth out of your mouth is a seed sown into the soil of the universe. Over the years, because of what you may have been speaking, there has been little or no harvest in your life. The attitude that you wake up with each and every day coupled with the thoughts that linger in your mind has determined the harvest that you have reaped in the past and what you will reap in the future.

The seed of finance that you have sown into ministries for the work of the Lord and the furthering of the Gospel will reap a harvest. If you sowed a little then only expect to receive a shallow harvest. If you sowed with a negative attitude of murmuring and complaining then your seed was never sown into good soil. It fell on rocky ground and was burned up by the sun. In other words, your words, thoughts, and attitude all work together along with the other seeds that you sow to bring forth a bountiful harvest.

God has spoken in His word that as long as the earth remains there would seedtime and harvest. You can be confident that if you sow you will reap. If you give, you will receive. If you plant you will harvest.

If 2005 is to be a year of harvest, then God’s children must walk in the plan that will allow them to be in a position to partake of the harvest that is desired to be manifested in their lives.

God’s word is out. He will never deny His word. Gal. 6:7 tells us, “Do not be deceived and deluded and misled: God will not allow Himself to be sneered at (scorned, disdained or mocked by mere pretensions or professions, or by His precepts being set aside). (He inevitably deludes himself who attempts to delude God. For whatsoever a man sows that and that only is what he will reap.” No one will ever be able to prove God to be a liar. Whatever He has promised shall come to pass.

When the manifestation of God’s promises are not seen in the life of a believer it is not because God changed His mind. It is always something that the believer did to hinder God’s abundant harvest from flowing into a life.

The life of every believer just line up with the word of God if you desire to receive the harvest that He has for you. If you keep doing what you have been doing, you will continue to get what you have gotten in the past.

God wants to do a new thing in your life. He wants to open the windows of heaven and pour out on you a blessings beyond what you ever thought possible. Now is the time to seek God like never before. Ask Him to show you your shortcoming so that you can change. Ask Him to show you where to sow your seed so that it will produce a harvest.

Check you attitude daily to make sure that it is positive with an abundance of expectations for what God is going to do through your life.

This is the year to make everyday count. Don’t let this opportunity to receive what God has for you. This is the year to fulfill the plan that God has for your life. This is the year to walk toward your destiny. This is the year to sow a harvest of seeds with the knowledge that you will receive a harvest of blessings.
