Attorney General Eric Holder

Attorney General Eric Holder will host a meeting with United States Attorneys tomorrow (Sept. 18to launch a new federal initiative to build trust between law enforcement and the communities they serve.

Mistrust between local law enforcement and their communities has been topic of national discussion since protests were sparked in Ferguson, Missouri, by an officer-involved shooting in August, 2014.

In addition to the national law enforcement experts, the Attorney General will be joined by Karol Mason, Assistant Attorney General for the Office of Justice Programs, and Ronald Davis, the Director of the Office of Community Oriented Policing Services (COPS).
