Ferguson police will release the name of the officer who fired the shots that killed 18-year-old Michael Brown by Tuesday afternoon.

According to KSDK.com, Chief Thomas Jackson with the Ferguson Police Department confirmed the officer’s name will be released by 12 p.m. during a news conference.

Monday morning protesters gathered at the Ferguson Police Department calling for the release of the officer’s name and Ferguson police’s “Protocol Handbook.”

The FBI will reportedly take over the investigation surrounding Michael Brown’s death.
