(CNN) — President Barack Obama announced that in the wake of the grand jury decision and subsequent riots in Ferguson, he and Eric Holder would launch a series of regional meetings to discuss race and the police. “The problem is not a Ferguson problem, it is an American problem,” he said, urging protesters not to resort to violence and promising to work with them.
