Dr. Howard E. Fields III, Assistant Superintendent of Human Resources for Kirkwood School District, will be honored by The St. Louis American Foundation as an “Excellence in Education” awardee at the 2021 Salute to Excellence in Education Scholarship & Awards Virtual Gala on Nov. 5. He is the author of the new book How to Achieve Educational Equity, co-founder of Black Males in Education St. Louis (BMESTL) and EduOpenings.com. The sky is the limit for Dr. Fields, but he remains grounded, “student-entered” and “equity-focused.”
