Fifteen St. Louis high school students recently participated in the University of Missouri’s Minority Introduction to Engineering (MITE) program, a free summer institute that aims to interest minority high school students in the field.
Students from across the country learned about engineering through hands-on experiments as well as lectures and tours sponsored by the College of Engineering program.
MITE is geared both towards students who are certain they want to be engineers and those who are strong in math and science but less familiar with engineering disciplines.
