Nataliyah Friar – Wentzville Holt, Girls Track and Field
The sophomore sensation won four events at last weekend’s Fort Zumwalt North Invitiational, including some incredible efforts in the jumps.
Friar’s top effort came in the triple jump, which she recorded a winning effort of 39 feet 8 ¾ inches, which is the best jump in the St. Louis area this season. She also won the long jump with a leap of 18 feet 3 inches.
Friar also doubled in the sprints as she won the 100- and 200-meter dashes. As a freshman, Friar earned two All-State medals by finishing second in the triple jump and sixth in the long jump at the Missouri Class 4 state championships in Jefferson City.
