Tyrin Williams, Riverview Gardens – Boys Basketball 

The 5’7″ junior guard enjoyed a spectacular week in leading the Rams to the championship game of the Alton Tip-Off Classic. Williams averaged 32 points a game in the Rams’ three games in the tournament. He scored 31 points in Riverview’s 66-58 victory over Alton to open the tournament.

In the semifinals, Williams scored a career high 38 points to lead the Rams past Carbondale 64-54. He scored a game-high 29 points in the championship game in the Rams’ 61-55 loss to O’Fallon.

A three-year starter, Williams was the starting point guard as a freshman on the Rams team that advanced to the district championship. As a sophomore, Williams averaged 20 points a game to earn All-Suburban North Conference honors.
