Christian Thomas & Ahmad Smith, Clayton – Boys Basketball

This senior dynamic duo has led the Greyhounds to an 18-6 record and first-place showing in the Suburban East Conference.

The 6’5″ Thomas and the 6’2″ Smith are both averaging more than 20 points a game to lead Clayton. Thomas is currently averaging 22.1 points, 13.1 rebounds, 2.3 steals, 3.5 assists and 1.4 blocks.

Smith is one of the most improved players in the St. Louis area. As a senior, he is averaging 20.8 points, 5.2 rebounds, 2.2 assists and 2.2 steals.

Thomas and Smith have combined to enjoyed some monster games together in the past two weeks. They combined for 74 points in a 80-65 victory over Jennings with Smith scoring 41 points and Thomas scoring 33. In the Greyhouds 82-64 victory against University City, Thomas scored 33 points and Smith added 30.

Clayton is the No. 1 seed at the Missouri Class 4, District 5 tournament, which will begin on February 21.
