The 6’8” senior standout led the Vikings to the school’s first ever district championship last week at Parkway Central.
Johnson scored 12 points in the Vikings’ 57-46 victory over DeSmet in the Class 5, District 5 championship game. In the semifinals, Johnson had 14 points, 18 rebounds and nine blocks to lead the Vikings past Parkway Central 49-45.
In the regular-season finale, Johnson had 24 points, 22 rebounds and four blocked shots to lead Parkway North past University City 54-52.
For the season, Johnson is averaging 16.3 points, 10.7 rebounds and four blocks per game in leading the Vikings to a 21-6 record. Johnson is still being recruited from several NCAA Division I schools from around the country.
