The senior wide receiver enjoyed a big night in leading the Pioneers to a 31-14 victory over Blue Springs in last Friday night’s Class 6 state-championship game in Columbia.
The 6’5” 210-pound Telfair caught five passes for 119 yards and two touchdowns. His scoring receptions of 40 and four yards came in the first half as Kirkwood took early control of the game.
For the season, Telfair had 32 receptions for 734 yards and 10 touchdowns. He is also a talented defensive end who finished the season with 50 tackles, five sacks and four fumble recoveries.
