These teammates led the Golden Eagles to the championship of the Lutheran-St. Charles Cougar Classic last weekend.
Henderson-Burt scored a game-high 21 points in North Tech’s 60-49 victory over Priory in the championship game. The 5’11” senior guard hit five 3-pointers in the finals. The 6’5” White had 19 points, 17 rebounds and six assists in the finals. He was named the Most Valuable Player of the tournament.
For the season, Henderson-Burt is averaging 17.8 points a game while shooting 44 percent from 3-point range. White is currently averaging 12.5 points and a team-high 7.5 rebounds a game.
North Tech is currently 12-1 with two tournament championships this season. They also won the Winfield Tournament and finished third in the St. Francis Borgia Thanksgiving Tournament in November.
