Taylor Manuel, Incarnate Word Academy – Basketball
The 6’3″ junior center was a major force in the Red Knights winning the Missouri Class 5 state championship for the second year in succession.
Manual scored a game-high 19 points to lead the Red Knights past Webb City 60-56 in the state semifinals. She followed up with nine points, five rebounds and five assists over Blue Springs in the state-championship game.
A transfer from Hazelwood Central, Manuel became eligible on Jan. 25 and went on to average 12.9 points and 5.2 rebounds per game. A versatile post player with the ability to pass and handle the ball like a guard, Manuel is rated in the Top 40 of top juniors in the nation.
Manual recently gave a verbal commitment to Purdue University.
