The senior infielder/pitcher enjoyed a big week as the Wildcats enjoyed their dominant early-season run of success.
Stewart pitched a three-hit shutout in a 10-0 victory over Metro League rival MICDS last Wednesday. The following day, he had two hits, four runs batted in and two stolen bases in a 19-6 victory over MICDS. Stewart was also three for four with two runs scored and a stolen base in a 9-3 victory over Orchard Farm.
For the season, Stewart is batting .412 with one home run, 17 RBIs and eight stolen bases. As a pitcher, he is currently 3-0 with an earned run average of .82. He has signed with Eastern Illinois University on a baseball scholarship.
