The senior standout was tremendous in helping lead the Commanders to the Missouri Class 2 state championship last weekend in Jefferson City.
Cole won three individual events and four medals at the state meet. He finished first in the triple jump with a near meet-record distance of 48 feet 3 ¼ inches. He won the long jump with a leap of 22-5 ¾ inches and the 200-meter dash in a winning time of 22.36 seconds.
During his great postseason run, Cole also won all three events at Cleveland’s district and sectional meets. He will continue his track and field career at Lindenwood University next season.
