Lailah Elliott, John Burroughs – Girls Track
The senior standout was the top individual performer at last weekend’s Marion Freeman Clayton Invitational.
Elliott took home first place medals in the high jump, triple jump and 100-meter high hurdles. She won the high jump with a clearance of 5 feet 4 inches. She won the triple jump by bounding 36 feet 6 inches and the 100-meter high hurdles in a time of 15.05 seconds.
As a junior in 2016, Elliott earned four All-State medals to help the Bombers to a second-place finish at the Class 3 state championships in Jefferson City. She finished second in the long jump and triple jump, third in the high jump and fifth in the 100-meter high hurdles.
Elliott will attend The Ohio State University on a track and field scholarship.
