James Allen, Cleveland Naval Jr. ROTC – Boys’ Track and Field
The junior middle distance standout led the Commanders to the Class 2 state championship last weekend in Jefferson City.
Allen took home two first-place medals and two other All-State medals. He finished first in the 800-meter run in 1 minute 56.9 seconds. He also ran a leg on the Commanders’ state-champion 4×400-meter relay. Allen also finished third in the 400-meter dash and anchored ROTC to a sixth-place finish in the 4×800-meter relay.
Antonio Norman, Cleveland Naval Jr. ROTC – Boys’ Track and Field
The junior standout led the Commanders to the Class 2 state championship last weekend in Jefferson City.
Norman won an individual state title and took home three more All-State medals in his four events. He won the 300-meter intermediate hurdles in a time of 38.11 seconds. Norman also finished in a third-place tie in the high jump and ran legs on the Commanders’ state-champion 4×400-meter relay team and the sixth-place 4×800 relay team.
