The New York Knicks are just two victories away from completing one of the most stunning postseason runs in NBA history.
The Knicks defeated the host San Antonio Spurs 105-104 in Game 2 of the NBA Finals to take a commanding 2-0 lead. The Knicks have won their last 13 playoffs games, their last loss occurred more than a month ago to the Atlanta Hawks in Game 3 of the first round of the Eastern Conference playoffs.

In Game 2, the Spurs rallied from a 14-point deficit to take a late lead, but battled back to win the game, taking full control of the series with their second consecutive win on the Spurs’ home floor.
Jalen Brunson’s free throw with seven seconds left proved to be the game-winner for the Knicks. The Spurs had one last chance to win the game, but Victor Wembanyama’s jumper bounced off the back of the rim as time expired.
Karl-Anthony Towns led four Knicks players in double figures with 21 points and a team-high 13 rebounds. Brunson and Mikal Bridges scored 20 points apiece while Jefferson City native OG Anunoby added 17 points. Kansas City native Landry Shamet added 13 points off the bench, including three 3-pointers.
