A mother and daughter among a small group of demonstrators were taken into custody after a scuffle took place when protesters were confronted by St. Louis Rams fans yesterday outside the Edward Jones Dome Sunday afternoon.
Police said around 20 protesters gathered outside the Edward Jones Dome Sunday afternoon to protest the shooting of Michael Brown Jr. According to police, a fan leaving the Rams-Seahawks game stole an American flag that had been displayed upside down by the protesters. Police said punches were then thrown as protesters attempted to recover the flag.
A woman and her 17-year-old daughter were arrested on assault charges following the incident.
No victims were transported to a hospital.
