The 6’6″ junior forward enjoyed two stellar performances last week in leading the Rams to big victories over Metro League rivals Westminster Christian and Lutheran North.
For the week, Thompson averaged 20 points, nine rebounds and three blocks while shooting 69 percent from the field. He had 21 points, nine rebounds and four blocks in a 68-63 double-overtime victory over Westminster. He followed up with 19 points, nine rebounds and four blocks in a 64-59 victory over Lutheran North. Thompson hit a combined 16 of 23 from the field in those two games.
For the season, Thompson is averaging 14.1 points, 6.9 rebounds and 2.5 blocks while shooting 49 percent from the field. He has already received scholarship offers from Missouri State, Southern Illinois University-Edwardsville and Tennessee-Martin.
