Former Chaminade College Prep All-American Bradley Beal will be returning to the Show-Me State next month as a professional basketball player.

Beal’s Washington Wizards will take on the world champion Miami Heat in a National Basketball Association preseason game on Wednesday, October 24 in Kansas City. The game will be played at the Sprint Center.

After leading Florida to the Elite Eight of the NCAA Tournament, the 6’5” Beal declared for the NBA Draft after his freshman season. He was the No. 3 selection of the Wizards in last June’s draft. He was the Wizards leading scorer in the Las Vegas Summer League in July, averaging more than 17 points a game.

Not only will the fans of Kansas City get a chance to see Miami Heat superstars LeBron James and Dwyane Wade, but it will also be a homecoming for former Kansas Jayhawk star Mario Chalmers of the Heat.

Chalmers was the hero of the 2009 NCAA championship game. His last-second 3-pointer against Memphis sent the game into overtime, where the Jayhawks went on to win the NCAA title.
