The St. Louis Rams couldn’t have picked a worse time to play a completely horrible game as they did in losing to the Kansas City Chiefs 27-13 last Sunday.

The Chiefs traveled down I-70 and made themselves at home, and all the Rams did was make them feel comfortable. The Chiefs started the game off slow and put the Rams in position to win this convincingly, but our young, growing football team did not bring their A-game last Sunday.

Couple that with the drubbing that the Seattle Seahawks took from Atlanta later that day, and the Rams are in a do-or-die position. They are faced with the task of having to win their final two games this season, starting this Sunday at home against San Francisco, then following week on the road in Seattle. This is exciting and gut-wrenching at the same time.

Before we all put this game behind us, please keep this in mind. The Rams showed us a lot this season. And I don’t need anymore confirmation about our rookie quarterback Sam Bradford. This guy should be a Pro Bowl pick, managing to pass for over 3,000 yards with the poor talent around him.

That being said, I have some things on my Rams wish list for Christmas.

First, I would love the Rams to acquire wide receivers (more than just one) who can run fast, stay on the field a lot, play most of the season, run routes and most importantly catch the ball!

Second, they need a running back who can really change the dynamic of an offense. We live in a two-back league, and it’s time the Rams add some sizzle to that position. I know Steven Jackson is a warrior and a leader. You can’t use a power back like a smaller, shifty scat back. Just saying.

Third, can we get our coaches to improve on in-game adjustments? If we’ve learned anything in this new computer age, it’s that you don’t have to wait until halftime to make adjustments.

Fourth, can we please stop using players from previous regimes? I know it’s a comfort level thing, but dang it. Last Sunday, I didn’t know if I was looking at safety Chris Dahl or the ghost of former New York Giants/St.Louis Rams corner/safety Jason Sehorn (Steve Smith spoiler alert).

Santa, I’m not asking a lot. Or should I be giving this wish list to new owner Stan Kroenke?
