Former Incarnate Word Academy girls basketball star Felicia Chester was selected by the Minnesota Lynx in the second round of the WNBA Draft on Monday.
The 6’3″ Chester was the No. 14 player taken in the draft after a stellar career at DePaul University. Chester becomes the highest drafted player in the history of the DePaul women’s basketball program.
As a senior, Chester averaged 11.3 points and 6.5 rebounds to lead the Blue Demons to the Sweet 16 of the NCAA Tournament. Chester averaged 13 points during the NCAA Tournament. She also shot a team-high 56 percent from the field.
