Former St. Louis Rams and current Miami Dolphins lineman Richie Incognito has been suspended indefinitely after accusations of bullying were levied against him by teammate Jonathan Martin, who left the team abruptly last week after being tormented by Incognito.
According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, the NFL and the Dolphins have acquired voicemails sent by Incognito to Martin which contain profane language, threats of violence and racial epithets, including use of the “N-word.”Â
The Dolphins organization is expected to sever ties with Incognito after its full investigation into the matter is completed. Martin has been placed on the non-football injury list and has reportedly sought out counseling due to the harassment.
