Saturday night. The first came with Floyd “Money” Mayweather
knocking out Victor Ortiz. The other knockout was when St. Louisan
Devon Alexander “The Great” signed with Golden Boy
Promotions.

In addition, Team Alexander announced the new promotion company named The Great Promotions co-promoting Devon with Golden Boy, with local successful businessman Drexel Stith being named COO.
“font-size: 9.0pt; font-family: Verdana; color: black;”>This is huge news for Alexander, who ranked as welterweight behind Mayweather and Ortiz by the World Boxing Council. This will will lead to a number of big-time fights for Team Alexander and potentially more big-time fights in St. Louis.
“font-size: 9.0pt; font-family: Verdana; color: black;”>”I know that this is a good fit for me and my team,” said Alexander. “I’m really looking forward to getting back into the ring to show the world and my hometown of St. Louis that we are going to bring another world championship back to St. Louis.”

I know he has my back, and I’m ready to get back into the ring. This is a great fit, with all the competition at 147. I’m ready.”
