The AT&T Gateway Football Classic Weekend featuring the American Family Insurance Gateway Football Classic will take place September 28-30.
For the past 12 years, the Gateway Classic Foundation has held the American Family Insurance Football Classic which features a gridiron battle between two historical black universities and a high-energy half-time Battle of the Bands.
The 13th Annual Football Classic, set for 4 p.m. on September 30 at the Edward Jones Dome, will feature the University of Arkansas Pine Bluff and Tuskegee University. Ticket prices range from $12 to $35 and private suites are available.
Revenue generated from tickets sales goes toward scholarships for students from the metropolitan St. Louis area to attend historical black colleges and universities. To date, the foundation has awarded over 100 scholarships and 57 students have graduated as a result of the scholarship program. The Gateway Classic has invested nearly $2 million toward the scholarship program.
