Former NFL linebacker Junior Seau was found dead in his California home Wednesday morning.
According to TMZ.com, law enforcement officials claim the 12-time Pro Bowl player died due to a self-inflicted gunshot wound to the chest.
“Everyone at the Chargers is in complete shock and disbelief right now…We ask everyone to stop what they’re doing and send their prayers to Junior and his family,” the San Diego Chargers said in a statement.
Seau played for the Chargers, Miami Dolphins and New England Patriots during his storied NFL career.
He was 43 years old and leaves behind four children.
