Immediately After Little went to make a tackle and was accidentally hit in the throat by a Bears offensive lineman, his throat began to swell and Little had trouble breathing.

In a tight 14-13 game at the end of the first half, Little decided to ignore doctor’s advice that he should immediately sit out and go to the hospital. He continued to play, though he was unable to breathe steadily. Finally, by the end of the third quarter, Little had to bow out because he was short of wind.

When he exited the game, Little finally decided to take the doctor’s advice and check into the hospital. There was a fear that if he went home and fell asleep, he might cause serious damage.

He spent a mostly sleepless night at the hospital in pain before checking out around 4 a.m.

Little is listed as probable for Sunday’s game against Oakland and has no doubts that he will be in the lineup.
