The St. Louis Rams say defensive end Leonard Little will need surgery on his left big toe.
Little has been hampered in recent weeks by a torn ligament in the toe. He has one sack this season after getting 13 last year and didn’t practice at all last week.
Defensive coordinator Jim Haslett says whether surgery is soon or at the end of the season depends on how well Little’s toe holds up. He’s having trouble pushing off on the rush.
Center Brett Romberg probably won’t play Sunday against Cleveland on Sunday because of an ankle sprain.
