The St. Louis American’s own Maurice Scott Jr. will be honored this weekend at a special banquet for being named the Illinois Basketball Coaches Association Junior High District 19 Coach of the Year.
He will receive his award at the IBCA’s Hall of Fame Banquet on Saturday night in Normal, Ill. Maurice led his seventh-grade Clark Junior High team of East St. Louis to the IESA (Illinois Elementary Schools Association) championship game after an undefeated regular season. Congratulations to Maurice.
